Very friendly family owned restaurant. Food was good, service friendly, and everything was efficient most people appeal to be takeout. We sat in and watched people come and go. Seemed like lots of repeat customers. I had the scallops and fries, I would say slightly better than average but worth the price.
Had a small falafel wrap and it was tasty and filling. Friendly and clean diner. What pulled us in was the rappie pie and my partner loved it
Beautiful place with the most incredible staff. Best panzerottis I’ve had in my life and that is saying something. I have travelled to New York, Toronto, Vancouver and parts Europe. A MUST TRY!!!!!
One of my favorite places to get a donair panzerotti in this town. Never disappointed when I get one.
We were starving by the time we found this restaurant, four of us, and were thrilled to find all of our meals were delicious. We had the dinner for one, lasagna, and 2 personal pizzas. I only wish they had more options for cans, since our only choice was pepsi or diet pepsi, or else we had to pay for a bottle to have options.
Jakes has been taking care of me and my family for years, they have also been taking care of the community for many years. Majority of my high school lunches came from jakes. Highly recommended, great food, excellent staff, i cant say enough good things. Thank you
My husband went there and ordered the Big J burger. He said the person at the till explained that the meat spills out beyond the bun and comes with bacon, lettuce, tomato and cheese, as well as the regular condiments, so he said he couldn’t resist. Person taking the order was friendly and had a good sense of humour, as was the person cooking the meal. We are from Alberta so it’s kind of odd that you won’t ever get a burger this size (7 1/2 inches in diameter) for this price in the heart of beef country. It was ridiculous. The only suggestion would be, because there is so much beef in this burger, is that it should be seasoned just a bit more.
Jake’s is always the first place we hit when we roll into Yarmouth. The donairs are the main attraction for us. They are always busy, yet they take the time to connect with their community. I wish we had something like this back in Ontario. Thanks Jake’s for being open until 9:30 pm, as it’s a long drive!
